The fans went wild when Rock Band took the stage with drums and a mic.  This year, Guitar Hero World Tour is ramping up the energy with better equipment and more features.  The drum feature was fantastic, but the tapping actually interfered with the music.  Two elevated pads have been added to simulate crash symbols and a high hat. Guitar Hero World Tour is offering drum pads that are virtually silent.  The pads on all the drums have been redesigned 1/2 inch think synthetic rubber.  The pads can now simulate the elastic quality of real drums, allowing you to bounce the drumsticks off of the drum pad and making those awesome drum rolls faster and easier.  The drum set has also been redesigned to have the lay out of a real drum set.    No more tapping, with Guitar Hero World Tour, you will only hear is your own sweet music as you crank out the notes.

Speaking of your own sweet sound, no band is going anywhere without an album.  Now Guitar Hero World Tour is giving everyone that participates in the tour, their own recording studio. Your band goes into the studio and selects a scale.  They have a jam session and then hit the record button.  Now you guys take your audio clip over to the mixing studio.  You mix each band members audio clip together, and presto, your first single is born.  You can now deliver your music to the world.

The mixing studio uses mixing programs based on what the professionals use.  The equipment and programs is so realistic, that anyone with real world experience will recognize it immediately.  The way it works is after you pre-record your tracks, you take them to the mixing studio and loop them to create your single.  You place that single on GH Tunes, an on-line suite, where your song can be downloaded and ranked by your fans, and your Guitar Hero World Tour takes off.
